THE PIRATE & THE EMPEROR'S SHIP, the latest documentary by Malaysian director Khoo Eng Yow will start 'sailing' this week for the first time all over the peninsula!

The notorious "Pirate King" Tan Lian Lay once terrorised the waters of Perak Malaysia and Bagan Siapi-Api, Indonesia. His personal story and the history of his coastal bases are a mix of fact, fiction, legend, myth and religious belief. READ MORE ABOUT THE FILM HERE!

曾经纵横马六甲海峡的霹雳海盗陈连礼(又名陈德辉)，在马来西亚及印尼峇眼亚比的海域叱咤风云，这位一代枭雄"海王"留下的故事，搀杂了历史、传说及神话。

田野工作者李永球从霹雳追踪到印尼峇眼亚比，探查这位海盗的历史，从日据时期到英殖民时代，又自海盗辗转为受人膜拜的神灵，这是一个至今仍深深影响着人们的神奇故事。

穿插着峇眼亚比一年一度的烧王船片段，《海盗与王船》是邱涌耀导演和李永球续《峇峇球》后另一部携手合作的影片。
