Pusan International Film Festival on its 11th year of existence appeared to the participants and guests at its very height through its programs, the number of guests, and the diversity of festival events. The organizers of the festival do not hide their ambitions to become the major cinema event on Asia. There are many proofs of it, starting with the newly opened PIFF Pavilion on the seaside and the newly established Asian Film Market.
An innocent, pleasant, and rather passive girl from Penang arrives by bus in Kuala Lumpur, where she has come to live with relatives. A man sees her at a phone booth and sets about trying to win her. The mystery of the man gives Love Conquers All its suspense.

This award serves to promote emerging film talent in Asia by selecting the best new film in New Currents section, the only featured competition at PIFF, by an Asian director. A cash award of USD 30,000 will presented.
The Fipresci Jury in the 11th Pusan International Film Festival gave the prize to Love Conquers All.
