In What City Does It Live?︱Liew Seng Tat | A Project in Development

It has been crazy for the past few weeks. Hubert Bals Fund has awarded 'In What City' a 20k digital production grant, along with fellow filmmakers Ho Yuhang's AT THE END OF THE DAYBREAK and Woo Ming Jin's THE HISTORY OF PINK ELEPHANT(post-productionn grant). Then followed by our ever talented female director Chui Mui's double win in Pusan. Hearing all these good news, my long dead great grandmother rises from her grave for 5 seconds and says "Well done! Now let me out of here".

The results of the Hubert Bals Fund selection can be found here: http://www.filmfestivalrotterdam.com/eng/news/new_overview/hubert_bals_fund_introduces_digital_production_grant.aspx

Me and Michelle Lo, my producer just came back from Bangkok. We were invited to participate in the Produire au Sud programme. Michelle did a very good presentation during the pitching session for our project "In What City".

(above)The participants from Thailand, Indonesia, the philippines, Myanmar and of course, us from Malaysia.

"In What City" also has been selected to participate in the 3rd Boracay Co-Production Meeting in the Philippines, happening this November 4-6. As I still couldn't get up from the floor after a fail attempt of trying to do a split(I think I injured my groin), Michelle will be present for this. I heard the beach there is beautiful. So Michelle, get your bikini ready and start practising to run in slow-mo, the baywatch way. Just don't do a split.
Cheers,
Seng Tat
