Flower in the Pocket gets special Jury Prize at Deauville by admin

Liew Seng Tat's "Flower in the Pocket" was awarded with a special Jury Prize (Lotus du Jury) at the 10th Deauville Asian Film Festival in France, which was held from the 12th to the 17th of March this year. Coincidentally, French director Patrice Chereau and other jury members have also decided to give Aditya Assarat's "A Wonderful Town" the Jury Prize, making it the third award which the Thai filmmaker is sharing with Malaysia's Seng Tat.

"Flower in the Pocket" has been making its mark around the world, achieving a total of 5 awards to date. Including the above-mentioned success at Deauville, it has won the New Currents and KNN Audience Award at Pusan International Film Festival, Rotterdam's VPRO Tiger Award and the Grand Prize at Fribourg, the Regard d'Or.

The DVD of this internationally acclaimed film will soon be released simultaneously with the launching of the Da Huang Online Store (www.dahuangpictures.com/shop). Alternatively, you will also be able to buy it at any Tower Records outlet or at Silverfish Bookshop.

Where do they have Tower Records and Silverfish Bookshops? I dont think we have any where I live. Is it mostly in Malaysia? I guess I will buy it from the online store when it releases. Will it be soon and will you all ship to the US?

Hi Billy, unfortunately, Tower Records and Silverfish Bookshop are only located in Malaysia.

We will launch our online shop soon, and yes, we will also ship our products to the States, so you can purchase the DVD here.

Li Ahh and Li Ohm grow up motherless. They are neglected by their father Sui, a workaholic who spends the bulk of his time mending broken mannequins in his workshop. While he shuts himself out from the world, the two brothers roam the streets, get into fights and other troubles in school but for all they want is just love and to be loved.
